90% of sales professionals are stressed... some things just aren't surprising. However, stress and burnout are challenges we can tackle. In this week's Good Sales Stuff, we're sharing real advice to help manage stress in sales.

Now grab a camomile tea and let's begin...

🎟️ The balancing act

Work-life boundaries? I'm sorry? I'm not sure what that means.. It’s easy to blur the lines when you’re constantly closing.

One-third of us have lost the boundary between work and personal life. So when your day is up or the weekend hits, let's try the 'Slack off from Slack' technique.

🛑 How to: Slack off from Slack!

  • Step 1: Turn off Slack when the workday ends.
  • Step 2: There is no Step 2. You’re done. 🎉 Enjoy your weekend. The deals will wait until Monday.

🧘Always be closing

Forget “Always Be closing”—this year’s mantra is “Always be chilling”. Ok- not quite but maintaining your sanity is just as important as closing the big deal.

Try the Pomodoro Technique 🍅

  • 25 minutes of laser focus on a task.
  • 5-minute break to relax, scroll memes, or make coffee. (Wait no, make that a camomile).
  • Rinse and repeat.

Here’s an example:

Morning 🔹 2 Pomodoros: Priority client calls 🔹 1 Pomodoro: Lead research 🔹 Break: Treat yourself (15–30 mins)

Afternoon 🔹 2 Pomodoros: Follow-up activities 🔹 1 Pomodoro: Administrative tasks 🔹 Break: Walk, stretch, or stare lovingly at your CRM achievements.

📅 Spring clean your calendar

How many of your meetings actually need to be meetings? If the answer is “not all of them,” then, it’s time to audit your calendar.

💡 Block out “focus time” for deep work and only accept meetings that add real value. Think of it as CRM time for your schedule—keep it clean and efficient.

🤖 Use automation and triggers wherever possible

Admin tasks can be time-consuming, and when they pile up, the stress tends to pile up too. While setting up automation processes might take some time initially, it will save you a significant amount of time—and stress—in the long run.

💡 Why it works:

  • Automation takes care of the busy work (e.g. email follow-ups, CRM updates).
  • It frees you up to focus on what really matters: building those authentic relationships that drive deals.

Next time you’re drowning in manual tasks, remember there’s probably a tool for that. Let the bots do the heavy lifting while you close the deals.

🏢 Digital Sales Rooms

Digital Sales Rooms (DSRs) like our trumpet Pods, cut down on guesswork, saving you time and stress by giving you insider knowledge. You can see exactly what your prospects are engaging with, what they’re viewing, and tailor your replies accordingly.

  • Know what they’re thinking: See real-time buyer activity, like what they’re clicking on and how long they’re spending in the Pod.
  • Tailored follow-ups: Use these insights to personalise your responses and keep prospects engaged.
  • Time-saving customisation: Create a professional, branded Pod with just their company URL. No more spending hours designing an average PDF.
  • Skip the messy email chain: No more time-consuming back-and-forth emails and outdated attachments. Everything your customer needs will be right in their Pod—Mutual Action Plans, video demos, catch-up call bookings, DocuSign, live chat to name a few.

Less stress, more sales. 👏

🛌 This one is, not be to slept on

Staying up late to send “just one more email” might feel productive, but sleep deprivation isn’t a good look for anyone.

💤 Tips for better sleep:

  • Turn off screens an hour before bed (yes, even LinkedIn..).
  • Create a nightly ritual: read, journal, or meditate.
  • Keep a consistent bedtime.

Sales stress isn’t disappearing anytime soon, but by taking these tips on board and turning advice into action, you can make your workday a little less overwhelming and a lot more manageable.

Now, go forth and sell (but don’t forget to chill).
