So bear with us on this one.
We're not saying you have to dance to Doja Cat to impress your prospects (although if anyone does try this please send us the video).
But, those kids on Tiktok know exactly how to capture and keep our gnat-like attention spans engaged, from those first few seconds.
And if you really think about it, those skills are pretty interchangeable with sales pitching and getting your prospects interested in what you're saying in those first 60 seconds.
So, without further ado, let's dive in...
‍
Those first few few seconds are keyi
Tiktokers know the importance of grabbing their viewers' attention within the first few seconds, it's crucial to video retention.
Take a page out of their book and do the same when you're on a demo call/pitch.
You don't want to bore the life out of your customers with a long-winded intro, right? Just get straight to the point, and make sure your message is clear and concise.
‍
Be a storyteller
Next up, Tiktokers are masters at storytelling. They know how to weave a compelling narrative that captivates their viewers.
Don't just pitch your product and reel off a list of specs and benefits, sell them a story about how it will solve their problems and make their lives better, show them real examples of how you've done something for a similar company in the past (relevant case studies).
‍
Why so serious?
Tiktokers also know how to use humour to their advantage.
They understand that people love to laugh, and if they can make their viewers chuckle, they're more likely to stick around.
Read the room and if you've got a good rapport with your prospect, lean into a bit of humour (delivered at the 'right' moments of course)!
It could be just the thing to break the ice and take the edge off the conversation.
‍
Just be yourself
Another thing Tiktokers excel at is authenticity. They're not afraid to be themselves and show their true personalities on camera.
Don't try to be someone you're not, customers can smell fake a mile away. Be genuine, honest, and show your customers the *real you*.

‍
Use video, a lot more
The Tiktok era has ushered in a new preferred way to consume content, long form (or even short form) text cant keep up with dwindling attention spans. And buyers are no different.
Why share videos instead of written pitches/static images?
Videos get 1200% more shares than text and images combined, you can pack a lot of information into a smaller package and our brains can process visuals much quicker than it can text.
‍
Use your audience (customers) as a soundboard
Last but not least, Tiktokers know the importance of engaging with their audience. They respond to comments, create content based on their viewers' suggestions, and generally make their viewers feel like they're part of the conversation.
Don't just sell to your customers, engage with them. Ask them questions, listen to their concerns, and deliver sales content that reflects exactly what they've said.
So, there you have it, folks.
Just remember, it's not about being perfect, it's about being human.
